Our Story
Light Up My Party is the younger sister company of Elite Tents which since 2010 has created in excess of 1000 fabulous events – weddings, parties, corporate occasions, you name it we did it.
But after 13 years Richard and Jacquie decided it was time to concentrate on their favourite side of the business – parties. Going back to how Elite started, Light Up My Party is a small family business with Richard at the helm, doing what he loves, working with clients to create a fabulous space for their celebration, in small spaces or large, mainly at home or in a locally hired venue.
The pandemic taught so many people that making memories with loved ones is the most important part of life and helping people to do that is the sole aim of Light Up My Party.
The Elite Legacy
We are proud to say that Elite Tents was the 6th Tipi Hire Company in England, established in 2010; and by 2023 Elite had completed over 2000 tipi erections! Elite has been renowned for genuinely caring for each and every client, taking time, paying careful attention to detail and holding the hands of the customers especially our brides at every step of their planning.
But looking after all those brides meticulously and supporting the business is hard work and so after 13 years both Richard and Jacquie decided they were ready to take their foot off the gas a little and make a change. Consequently, Elite Tents erected its last event in December 2023. Now, the Elite legacy simply supports couples with their website and all the planning tools it has, and if Light Up My Party can’t help with your event, we will recommend you to our trusted suppliers to cater for larger events, particularly weddings.
That’s not the end of the story.
Jacquie & Richard both realised that there are plenty of people just like them that simply love to have a party at home to celebrate the milestones of life. So with over 20 years experience between us, we decided to create Light Up My Party, which offers much smaller and more localised set ups, serving Sutton Coldfield, Tamworth, Lichfield, Solihull and the areas in between.
We still use only authentic nordic tipis from Scandinavia, work with the same high level of care for our customers, and of course we offer only the best furniture, lighting and props alongside them.
Plus we have extended our range to include props that work well with and without the tents, light up numbers, shimmer walls for selfies and funky light up LED furniture which can all add to the party vibe! These can not only be used with the tents but on their own too, meaning if you hire a venue or just need to add sparkle or fun to your garden that is absolutely possible too.
